Munn would  play Amber a potential love intterest for Tatum. She certainly makes a fine addition to the cast if she signs....Too bad it can't become her story as a stripper

Matthew McConaughey was just cast as Dallas, a former stripper who now owns the Xquisite club where Mike works. Joe Manganiello will play Big Dick Richie While White Collar's Matt Bomer also stars as another stripper. Cody Horn will play Pettyfer’s sister in the film who has a romance with Tatum’s character. Riley Keough plays Pettyfer's girlfriend. 30 year old Cuban actor William Levy has joined the pic most likely playing another stripper Gabriel Iglesias plays a DJ

The Cloud Minders

Actor  Ben Whishaw talked to Vulture about playing multiple roles in the film adaptatiom of “Cloud Atlas"

Based on the book by David Mitchell--the tome consists of six nested stories that take the reader from the remote South Pacific in the nineteenth century to a distant, post-apocalyptic future. Each tale is revealed to be a story that is read (or watched) by the main character in the next. All stories but the last one get interrupted at some point, and after the sixth story concludes at the center of the book, the novel "goes back" in time, "closing" each story as the book progresses in terms of pages but regresses in terms of the historical period in which the action takes place.

"Everyone in the cast is playing at least three parts, some big and some small… Everybody’s swapping race and gender, so it’s very ambitious and quite fun."

Whishaw will play "Frobisher in the thirties; a female American in the seventies, in the Luisa Rey section; and a smallish role, where I’m basically an extra, in a modern-day nursing home, in the Timothy Cavendish section.”

Tom Hanks Halle Berry Hugo Weaving (will play up to six parts in the ambitious pic), Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon Doona Bae and Jim Broadbent also star.

The adaptation will be written and co-directed by The Wachowski's Lana and Andy and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run).

Lloyd Gets "Closer To The Moon"

British actor Harry Lloyd has joined Nae Caranfil's period drama "Closer To The Moon" says Deadline.

Set in 1959 Bucharest, the story follows a group of Jewish former revolutionaries who're now united against the communists. After being sentenced to death for robbing a bank under the guise of staging a film shoot, they're first forced to reenact the caper for a propaganda film.

Lloyd stars as a cameraman recruited to shoot that film and falls in love with Vera Farmiga's character who has a child with one of the men sentenced to die (Mark Strong).

Michael Fitzgerald will produce the pic.

Shooting kicks off early fall in Bucharest

What Is Goin' On With Pride And Prejudice And Zombies?

Athough everything seemed like things were  on the right track a week or so ago “Pride And Prejudice And Zombies " has lost director  Craig Gillespie....according to Twitchfilm, once again leaving the project in limbo.

Or is it? The studio says Gillespie is still on bourd...

If Twitch is right Gillespie follows David O. Russell and Mike White who were previously attached and soon left the pic.

The film's story is taken from Seth Grahame-Smith's book using Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice and puts bloodthirsty flesh-eating zombies into the action. The tome now tells the timeless story of a woman's quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.

At the same time the search for a female lead continues as well: Natalie Portman was to play the role as well as produce the film but left last year. Then Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson Mia Wasikowska Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Rooney Mara, and Olivia Wilde were all being considered for the role at one point. The inabilty to lock down a leading lady seemingly led to the most recent upheaval

Dominic Cooper is still attached to play Mr. Darcy despite Gillespie's semming exit.

Russell, Gillespie Grahame-Smith and Marti Noxon have drafted the script no word as to how much of that will remain should a new director come onboard.

Annette Savitch Richard Kelly, Sean McKittrick Ted Hamm and Portman would still produce...

West Amd Werewolves?

The House of the Devil director Ti West  attended the recent FrightFest n London and talked about 2 projects that he has in the pipeline.

Bleeding Cool has the scant deets...

The first is a sci-fi feature called "The Side Effect" that deals with "pharmaceutical testing in space" and "isolation and paranoia, and that kind of psychological fear" seen in both 'Devil' and his current film called The Innkeepers

He says that he wrote a "kind of werewolf film" for another company, but wouldn't say anymore than that...

MOS: Business Suit

New pics of Henry Cavill in the Superman outfit  have been posted today via Facebook that finally lets you see some close-up shots of him on the Illinois set of Zack Snyder's big budget reboot Superman: Man of Steel

The shots have him without the cape in between takes, probably due to the weight of it

There's some ornate black ribbing on the sides, lower back and down his thighs. There's padding all over to give a very defined muscular appearance (and yes even a well sculpted crotch), while the red of the S and the boots seem to stand out against the muted blue of the rest of the outfit.

Note the absence of the more traditional Yellow S on the back of the cape...ala Bryan Singer's Superman Returns making it easier to accomplish the CG-enhanced flying shots....

Amy Adams Kevin Costner Diane Lane Michael Shannon Antje Traue Christopher Meloni Harry Lennix Julia Ormond Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe co-star.

David S. Goyer wrote the first screenplay draft based on a story he concocted with Christopher Nolan with bro Jonah Nolan taking a crack at the task as well Kurt Johnstad did rewrites

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas Deborah Snyder, and Nolan will be producers on the film.

MOS flies into theaters June 14th 2013.

Uncle George Still Tweaking After All These Years

With just over two weeks to go before the September 16th release of  Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-Ray...George Lucas continues to altler his beloved space saga--and not always for the better

"Revenge of the Sith" marked the birth of Darth Vader as James Earl Jones reprised the role and only got in a line or two before yelling out a big ol' over the top "NOOOOOOO!!!"

Keep that in mind as you read on...

Copies have gone out for review and details of the changes have been leaked

A few weeks ago it was revealed that the puppet Yoda (Frank Oz) last seen in "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" was being replaced by a CG version to make the look more inline with that in the next two episodes. That turned out fine right?

Now Badass Digest, reports two bits of audio from the original trilogy have been altered, and not in a good way. First, and most egregiously, a previously silent Darth Vader now gives off not one but two big screams of "NOOOO" as he picks up and throws the Emperor down the shaft at the end of "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi". The other is the first shot of Ben (Alec Guinness) in "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" who now uses a "Krayt Dragon cry" which sounds really bad

The Blu-ray audio clips have been incorporated with the corresponding old DVD footage to give you an idea of what you can expext:

Ugh!!!!!

Soderbergh Times

It's a triple story post with Steven Soderbergh as its common thread

Film writer scribe Scott Z. Burns told the folks over at Cinema Blend that he's done writing work on both David Fincher's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo" and Soderbergh's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and both pic await casting to begin.

Burns says 'Leagues' will shoot later "Because of the amount of pre-vis work that David would have to do we wouldn’t probably start shooting for a little while later and David is so buried in Dragon Tattoo, that’s where his focus is."

The film is big in scale, but apparently only uses "very little" from the original story by Jules Verne

The film will focus on the relationship between the three main characters - Captain Nemo, French marine biologist Professor Pierre Aronnax, and master harpoonist Ned Land.

Burns hopes production on 'U.N.C.L.E.' will start in the Spring and the script is already finished and is set "more in a real world context" than the series. Fans of the show though will "recognize tiny little things".

George Clooney has seemingly dropped out of Soderbergh's film adaptation of  "U.N.C.L.E." says Deadline.

Robert Vaughn and David McCallum starred in the original spy drama as two agents of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.), who fought the forces of Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity (T.H.R.U.S.H.).

No reason was given for the exit but the studio wants to stick to their schedule which means Soderbergh will begin shooting the movie in February.

Soderbergh has been talking retirement for some time, and it seems he's serious according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He told The New York Times in his Manhattan painting studio, Soderbergh wants to become a full-time painter (!!??) but adds:

"I'm interested in exploring another art form while I have the time and ability to do so. I'll be the first person to say if I can't be any good at it and run out of money I'll be back making another 'Ocean's' movie."

Soderbergh still has 2 more films to prep--Magic Mike and Liberace

Writer Christopher Markus would like to see Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage as the villain in Captain America 2.

Markus tells The Los Angeles Times that he thinks Dinklage would be great as MODOK. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing), a giant headed and hovering mutated scientist

Markus says “I think you could make a terrifying movie with MODOK but nobody seems to be on my side at the momentum. I will win you over to Peter Dinklage as MODOK. If he came around the corner and you saw him floating there you would be terrified. It would be amazing.”

I agree Dinklage would suit the character very well...And I would root for the casting should they decide to move ahead with that notion
