Just as I was about to settle in for the evening, I received the following email update from Box Office Mojo with the following statement:
"With $16.9 million each, Glory Road squeaked ahead of Hoodwinked in a tight race for the top spot that perked up an otherwise ho-hum holiday weekend."
Earlier in the day, the two films had their positions flipped...You can read about the reason behind the adjustment and compare it to what I posted earlier
In this instance, the lesson learned is "Don't count your tickets until their all in", something the studios are famous for, as they fight for the bragging rights to be number 1
