The Strike-Day 5
Will producers turn to U.K. writers?
Far from the WGA picket lines, there's a place where top-tier screenwriters are, in theory, still free to work on movies backed by the U.S. studios.
Gee here's an even better plan...
Start talking again!!!!
Oh Wait.....
No new talks have been scheduled...
Yikes! Politicians weigh in:
Schwarzenegger aims to end strike...
At least Governor Schwarzenegger has experience with the way Hollywood works
Meanwhile, Obama, Clinton, Edwards back WGA
Oh goody! The Democratic presidential front-runners are in the writers camp...I'm sure members of the WGA are doing cartwheels over that news...Sheesh
Mark Harris of Entertainment Weekly has a great column on the strike titled Why the writers are right...
Producers are full of reasons for not giving scribes the revenue share they deserve — and all of those excuses are ludicrous...
Come on, Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and WGA--new talks must be scheduled otherwise progress will never be made...
Stay Tuned...
