One of my favorite TV stars has found work on the big screen, according to Variety:Heroes indestructible cheerleader Claire (Hayden Panettiere pictured) is set to star in teenage comedy "Daydream Nation," written and to be helmed by Michael Goldbach.
Kieran Culkin is negotiating to play Panettiere's oblivious boyfriend in the flick.
"Daydream Nation," budgeted at about $10 million, is due to start production later this year.
The title of the movie seems to come from the album by the musical group Sonic Youth of the same name.
I'm excited that Penettiere is getting more and more film work--I just hope that it doesn't mean she would leave her TV gig before the series concludes--for a movie career...
