Dear Jenkins

Character actor Richard Jenkins will join the drama Dear John according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jenkins will play the father of a young soldier (Channing Tatum) who meets the girl of his dreams (Amanda Seyfried) while on military leave.

Jenkins is a great addition to the film

Lasse Hallström calls action on the adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks best-seller.

Filming is already underway in South Carolina.
