Updates for you...
*The spy thriller "Edwin A. Salt" has officially been renamed "Erika Salt" to accommodate female lead Angelina Jolie according to Production Weekly.
Tom Cruise was originally attached to play the titular character.
*The folks at CHUD have been all over this one--the Planet of the Apes franchise is headed back to the big screen . Studio suit Tom Rothman appeared on-camera during a retrospective segment for the 1968 film and said:
"We are very close at Fox on a new Apes script - this one a kind of prequel story before the first story, with a return to the social thematics that mark the first one, but with an entirely contemporary setting - Earth 2009."

The latest issue of Production Weekly has filmmaker Scott Frank primed to direct.
The good news, as far as I'm concerned is that it will not be a sequel to the 2001 debacle...
*Dark Horizons: had tis news that's not really a surprise...
Appearing on Sydney-based morning talk show "Sunrise" this morning, Aussie filmmaker George Miller confirmed he's no longer involved in the "Justice League" in any capacity.
According to scooper 'Steve' he says that Miller indicated that if the project does get going again, he expects that it'll be recast as "the studios seem to want bigger stars in their superhero movies now."
I thought the flick was DOA not dormant anyway....
