Actress Eliza Dushku is bringing "The Perfect Moment", a biopic about iconic photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, to the big screen says Variety.
Dushku has secured the exclusive rights and the full cooperation from Mapplethorpe's estate and has snagged two-time Sundance grand jury prize winner Ondi Timoner to direct the film.
The story will chronicle Mapplethorpe's career from his rise to fame in the 1970s for his portraits of socialites and rock stars until his death in 1989 at age 42 from complications arising from AIDS.
Been a Dushku fan ever since she played Faith on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" It's nice to know that even her newest TV gig Dollhouse gets going--she's thinking bigger
