Starting out as several award-winning PC games in 1994, the Warcraft universe is a rich fantasy setting that revolves around the epic conflict between the opposing forces of the Horde and the Alliance. It expanded into novels, action figures, apparel, comic books, board games and the famous multiplayer online role-playing game 'World of Warcraft'.
The film will fall under Legendary Pictures’ co-production and co-financing deal with Warner Bros..
Raimi and Charles Roven, Alex Gartner, Jon Jashni, Thomas Tull and Joshua Donen will produce the pic
The plan is for Raimi to film Warcraft after he completes Spider-Man 4, which gets under way early next year and will be released in May, 2011.
I'm glad that "War" won't interfere with Spidey's future...at least for now...
