Fu For Thought

Kung Fu Kid--the remake of the '84 film The Karate Kid (pictured) began principal photography this week according to The Associated Press.



The pic stars Jackie Chan as the wise kung-fu master and Jaden Smith, son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, as the eager young student.

Norwegian director Harald Zwart, who recently directed The Pink Panther 2, is at the helm.

Producer Ken Stovitz said the story will be set in modern-day Beijing and filming will continue for three months.
