Laughter Is The Best Rx

THR says that "Wanted," star James McAvoy has joined the cast of the untitled Cancer comedy pic (previously titled "I'm With Cancer").



McAvoy will play a 25-year-old who learns he has cancer and battles it over several years.

The screenplay is based on the real experiences of writer Will Reiser who was diagnosed with the disease around the same time.

Seth Rogen will pull double duty on the pic as a co-star/co-producer along side pals Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin.

Shooting kicks off in January with Nicole Holofcener calling action

Sounds as though Rogen wants to step into pal Judd Apatow's Funny People shoes...
