Saving The Neighborhood

Both Will Ferrell and director David Dobkin (Fred Claus and the box office hit Wedding Crashers) have dropped out of the comedy Neighborhood Watch says Variety.

Jared Stern’s screenplay centers on an urbanite's journey as he moves to a suburban community, joins the neighborhood watch and uncovers a large conspiracy.

Dobkin did revisions to the script which he and Ferrell have been attached to since the Spring.

Dobkin has another four films in development, and Ferrell has five on his plate.

No word yet on who will take over the pic.

Given my "He's not as funny as you think" attitude concerning Ferrell--Watch is better off without him....Land of the Lost probably would not have bombed as bad as it did.
