Zahn Has A "Wimpy Kid"

Even as his latest flick A Perfect Getaway is released on Friday word comes that Steve Zahn will co-star in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," says Variety.

Based on the best-selling novels by Jeff Kinney, the story chronicles the adventures of wisecracking middle school student Greg Heffley over the course of an academic year, as told through the young man's diary and hand-drawn cartoons.

Zahn and Rachael Harris play Greg's parents

Zachary Gordon is the title character. Robert Capron will portray his best friend, and Devon Bostick will play his bro.

Jeff Filgo and Jackie Filgo and Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs wrote the screenplay from which Thor Freudenthal calls action.
