Sheesh! In yet another 3-D flick related post...
THR reports that Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil, Death Race, Event Horizon) will helm a new adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ classic tale--The Three Musketeers - in 3-D....
Noooooooooooooo!
Ahem....Moving on...
Anderson is developing the script with Andrew Davies (Bridget Jones's Diary, Brideshead Revisited),
Anderson says: "We are definitely modernizing ‘The Three Musketeers’ without compromising the fun of shooting a period piece. But in our film, corsets and feathered hats don’t take center stage. Our version is rich in eye-popping action, romance and adventure.”
The tale has had many film incarnations--my fave is the 1993 version--I have no issues over doing another film based upon the yarn but this 3-D madness has to stop!
Hollywood is stuck on stupid though so the trend is likely to continue until the film patrons stop paying for it.
