Variety says actor Joshua Leonard steps behind the camera to detect The Lie.
The movie is based on a short story, written by T. Coraghessan Boyle, that appeared in The New Yorker, about a man who changes his life when he lies in order to get out of work.
The script was adapted by Leonard, and his co-stars Jess Weixler (Teeth) and Mark Webber (Broken Flowers), with additional material by Jeff Feuerzeig.
The cast also includes Jane Adams Kelli Garner, Gerry Bednob and Kirk Baltz.
Leonard made noise a decade ago as a member of The Blair Witch Project and recently got good notices for his role in the more recent Humpday. And while the premise sounds like a familiar one--I'm intrigued to see how Leonard does here...
The film begins production this month in Los Angeles
