Sebastian Stan- who was in the running to play the lead in The First Avenger: Captain America before Chris Evans took the role--has scored a part in the comic book pic playing sidekick James Bucky Barnes says the Heat Vision Blog
In the comics Barnes discovers Cap's true identity and while Stan has signed a multi-pic deal--it's not known if the character's fate of death and resurrection ala Winter Soldier will be played out on film.
Imagine going to work every day for weeks alongside the guy who has the job that you were up for...Stil it's better than no role....
The pic begins filming in June under the helm of Joe Johnston and will be released on July 22, 2011
