Hiroshi Sakurazaka's 2004 novel "All You Need is Kill" is being adapted for the big screen reports Deadline New York. The story follows Keiji Kiriya, a young recruit sent out to fight off an alien invasion and finding himself dying on the battlefield and being reborn each day.
Five months into this cycle though, he notices something different than the previous versions - a female soldier who may be the key to his escape.
Dante Harper penned the script that recalls Groundhog Day, or the Star Trek: The Next Generation 5th season episode “Cause and Effect“.
The film is being fast tracked to begin production within the next year.
