Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street remake "The Haunting in Connecticut) is set to play hockey great Wayne Gretzky in Kevin Smith's upcoming comedy Hit Somebody according to the latest edition of Smith's Red State of the Union podcast (via Cinema Blend).Gretzky won't appear on screen until the final quarter of the film and the period setting means he will be shown as a young kid first entering the National Hockey League
Yet the role is pivotal in the film and sets up everything the main character McKracken (Nicholas Braun) idolises in the story.
Gallner starred in Smith's upcoming horror flick Red State.
