RIP Pete Postlethwaite (1946-2011)

The great character actor Pete Postlethwaite-seen most recently in Ben Affleck’s The Town and Christopher Nolan’s Inception--died yesterday from complications due to cancer according to the AP..

Postlethwaite was nominated by Oscar for his performance alongside Daniel Day-Lewis in Jim Sheridan’s 1993 film “In The Name Of The Father,” he’s probably better known for roles in “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” Coronation Street Alien 3, “The Last of the Mohicans” the under appreciated 90's version of Romeo + Juliet and, of course, “The Usual Suspects.”

His last pic “Killing Bono,” a comedy directed by Nick Hamm about brothers who envy the U2 frontman’s success.will hit theaters in April
