French actress French actress Maria Schneider, who played Marlon Brando’s lover in Bernardo Bertolucci's infamous pic Last Tango in Paris, has died in Paris after a long illness reports She was just 58 years old.
The Daughter of late French actor Daniel Gélin and model Marie-Christine Schneider, she became internationally famous at just 20 years old when she starred alongside then 48-year-old Brando in 1972 The film is about a French girl who meets an older American man (Brando) for casual sex in a Paris apartment.
