Joseph Kosinski directed the financially successful sequel Tron: Legacy, and he now looks to oversee production of another sci-fi project called Oblivion. However, it looks like he’ll have to wait a little while longer before things go into motion.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog, the script penned by Oscar-winning writer William Monahan will not be used for the film. Instead, Karl Gajdusek will rewrite the film’s script. Additionally, the film will now be called Horizons instead of Oblivion
Isn’t it odd that the writer of The Departed would get dismissed for a writer with hardly any writing experience at all?

Since I did not really like TRON Legacy all that much I sure hope Horizons is better--As for the switch in writers "odd" yes--but that's the industry for ya....-T
