Pan Picked

Sony Pictures is poised to pick up "Pan", AKA Peter Pan Begins which Channing Tatum is attached to star in reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Billy Ray's script explores the origin story of J. M. Barrie 's immortal young hero and envisions Pan and Captain Hook as brothers.

Joe Roth will produce.

The film went out to bidders last week and drew strong interest from at least three parties last week with the Sony deal said to be in the $1 million range.

Not quite sure what to really make of this one just yet but with Ray (Breach, Shattered Glass) writing I'm intrigued enough to see where the film goes.

Meantime Tatum's downsized as yet Untitled G.I. Joe Sequel gets an August 10, 2012 release date says The Playlist
