As Thor awaits release on May 6th director Kenneth Branagh has already signed on to helm his next project "The Boys in the Boat" for The Weinstein Company according to Variety.
Based on the non-fiction book written by Daniel James Brown, the inspiring true story centers around the University of Washington's powerhouse rowing team in the 1930s.
Sources describe the project as a cross between Seabiscuit and Chariots of Fire.
Branagh says "The Boys in The Boat is an epic. I was completely captivated by the characters, the era, and the dreams of a generation unfolding beautifully and dramatically."
