Director Noah Baumbach's latest dramatic comedy While We're Young has lost two of its cast members--- James Franco and Cate Blanchett according to The Playlist

The story follows a free-spirited twenty-something couple who inspire an uptight documentary film guy and his wife to loosen up – with comedic consequences.

Franco dropped out due to a scheduling conflict with Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful

Blanchett quickly followed though the reason is unknown But it's a safe bet The Hobbit: Part 1 and The Hobbit: Part 2 were partly resposible for the exit in Cate's case .

Ben Stiller who worked with Baumbach on last year's Greenberg remains attached.

Shooting is slated to kick off mid-June in New York City While We're Young comes to theaters in 2012.
