Actress/Singer Brie Larson has scored the female lead in the 21 Jump Street, movie says Deadline New York

Larson plays Molly in the film starring opposite Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube

Neil Moritz is producing the pic. Shooting on the project kicks off this spring under the helm of Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller will call action from Michael Bacall'/Hill's screenplay The pic is set to hit theaters in March 16, 2012.

Larson is perhaps best known for playing Toni Collette's rebellious daughter on the cable TV series United States of Tara

She recently wrapped the Oren Moverman-directed cop drama Rampart, which also starred Cube, Woody Harrelson, Robin Wright and Ben Foster.

Larson was great in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Greenberg and should fit in well on Street
