Fox has changed the release date of Rupert Wyatt’s" Planet of the Apes prequel Rise of the Apes yet again--back to a Summer slot reports Variety.
First due out on June 24th and then moved to the crowded Thanksgiving weekend on November 23rd--Now the movie will now open August 5th.
The story focuses on a scientist (James Franco) working on an Alzheimer's cure being tested on apes. The test subject named Caesar evolves rapidly, forcing the scientist to take him home and live with him to protect him from cruel doctors
John Lithgow Brian Cox David Oyelowo Tom Felton Freida Pinto and Andy Serkis also star
Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa wrote the screenplay and produced with Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark
Ok. Should I feel better about the film now that it's back to being a Summer flick--or worse--that the suits can't make up their mind on the date?
