Helmers Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly met thousands of candidates to play the stern leader of the famous comedy trio.
Former Will And Grace star Sean Hayes is set to play Larry Fine opposite Will Sasso as Curly Howard while Modern Family co-star Sofia Vergara plays a vixen who lures the Stooges into a potential murder-for-hire scheme.
The PG-rated film will divide into three, 27-minute segments driven by physical comedy--It takes place in present day, but they will look, dress and sound exactly like the original Stooges.
It's hoped that production started sometime this spring.
