Jay Baruchel has joined the cast of David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis. According to Deadline Hollywood, he’ll play “the shy guy who […] acts as the trader’s conscience.” Robert Pattinson leads the film, while acclaimed actors like Juliette Binoche and Paul Giamatti fill in the supporting roles alongside Baruchel.
The whole “shy guy” bit is getting old, but this movie actually sounds like it could be really interesting. Additionally, Baruchel might get his feet wet and step out of his comfort zone with a role more emotionally complex than those in his previous ventures.
