Saving Night?

Will Smith and his son Jaden, who previously worked together on "The Pursuit of Happyness", will re-team in an M. Night Shyamalan-directed science fiction film says Deadline.

Previously titled One Thousand A.E.-- now needing a title--the pic will follow the two Smith’s as they crash land on a devastated, baron planet set 1,000 years in the future.

The Book of Eli’s Gary Whitta co wrote the screenplay along with Shyamalan.

Can the Smith duo save  Shyamalan's abyssmal career?...The question just hangs there...

Shyamalan James Lassiter, Jada Pinkett Smith and Ken Stovitz will all produce the picture.
