Simon Crane, famous for stunt choreography on films like Salt and Titanic, looks to make his directorial debut in the near future with Echelon, but even before he’s been able to get his hands on that one, he’s on board for another project.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Crane has just signed on to direct the independent film High Wire. Though we don’t know plot details about the film just yet, screenwriter Jason Solomon, who penned Robert Redford’s The Conspirator, describes the film as “a New York-set thriller with a strong emotional component.”

Doesn’t that description “thriller with a strong emotional component” sound like Inception just a little bit? Don’t be surprised to see many films over the next several years imitate Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller.
