The story follows a regular guy who, after a blow to the head, suddenly can hear the inner songs of everyone's heart. His reality is instantly turned into a musical, much to his dismay.
Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who created the music for Disney's latest hit animated film Frozen will handle Bob's music and lyrics.
Adam Shankman, Phil Lord and Chris Miller have all taken a pass at the script.
The film has been in development at Disney for a decade.
