Despite recent news that the release has been delayed a full 10 months on Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman/Batman team-up Man of Steel Sequel the mill continues to grind. The site Comic Book Movie answers many questions fanboys have about the film.
MOS 2 will see the return of Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck will play Bruce Wayne/Batman amid lots of fallout--while Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane are set to reprise their roles as Lois Lane, Perry White and Martha Kent."Fast Five" star Gal Gadot appears as Wonder Woman
*Cavill will sport a decidedly shorter haircut and the trademark
Superman spit-curl, akin to his look in the "Kingdom Come " comics arc minus the grey streak.
*Affleck's injury was purely a musculature rib injury, it isn't
too serious, and he'll be back at full-health sometime in April. The setback has made difficult for him to perform certain movements for
the fight sequences -a stunt double will be used.
*Affleck's injury isn't the only reason for the delay. another is said to be budgetary. Part of that is talk of
including a brief visit to Wonder Woman's home of Themyscira, an
addition that requires more visual effects.
*Reports that MOS 2 and "Justice League" being shot
back-to-back are half-right- it "is being considered but no official
decision has been made at this time."
*Noise of a cliffhanger in the film setting up "Justice League" are
"very much true". The plan is rather than following the Marvel method of mid and post-credits scenes--DC Comics will end their films
with a cliffhanger setting up the next movie.
*There's also reportedly plans to do "short films for their lesser
known characters. These short films would be played at the end of each
film."
*Joaquin Phoenix is still the favorite to play the
film's main villain Lex Luthor--the decision is his to make.
As a result of the delay, the original release date of July 17th 2015 is no longer
doable. Now, the studio is targeting a May 6th 2016 release. They
quickly inserted the fantasy Pan into the original slot.
