It was suggested that we might see more of Hayley Atwell reprising her role of Peggy Carter from Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier after getting positive reaction to the "One-Shot: Agent Carter" short made for the release of "Iron Man 3"on Blu-ray.
Now, The Daily Mirror claims that a Carter TV series is a go with Atwell moving to Los Angeles for six months of filming. Their source says:
"This is a massive deal for both Hayley and Marvel comic fans. It's Marvel's major project of 2014, and it will be a big budget production. Hayley is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity and is incredibly grateful to Marvel fans who have basically been campaigning for a spin-off show for the past six months. It means moving to LA for six months but her friends and family are all behind her, and this is a huge opportunity."
Atwell filmed a cameo for this year's "Soldier" last Summer playing an elderly version of Peggy Carter.
"Captain
America 2" launches first in the UK and parts of Europe on March 26th
ahead of a major global release (including the U.S.) the following week
on April 3rd & 4th.
Marvel's next one-shot short film appears on the February 25th Blu-ray release of "Thor: The Dark World". A just released breakdown of the special features in that disc set reveals that it will go by the title "All Hail The King".
