Wood's Got Killer Instincts For "The Boy" Saga


Actor Elijah Wood's production company SpectreVision is moving forward with "The Boy," the first film in a planned trilogy that will explore the childhood of a future serial killer says Heat Vision.

Based on the 2012 short film "Henley," the trilogy will explore the life of the killer at the ages of 9, 14, and 18 - by the end of which he has become an iconic mass murderer.

Craig Macneill  directs from a script he co-wrote with author Clay McLeod Chapman Chapman created the characters as part of his novel "Miss Corpus".

Eight-year-old Jared Breeze will play the nine-year-old version of the Henley character. Aiden Lovekamp also stars. Breeze stars in the upcoming horror comedy "Cooties" which bows at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday.

Wood, Daniel Noah and Josh C. Waller will produce the pic.

 Production begins February 17th in Medellin, Colombia.
