RIP Harold Ramis (1944 – 2014)

This totally sucks...Comic actor, writer, and director Harold Ramis passed away early this morning from autoimmune inflammatory Vasculitis, a rare blood vessel disease. He was 69.


The Second City alum got his big break in 1978, when he co-wrote the classic Animal House, after which he went on to co-write Stripes, Ghostbusters, and Ghostbusters II. Ramis made his directorial debut with 1980′s Caddyshack, followed by the first VacationGroundhog Day  and Analyze This followed

On screen  he was best known for playing Egon Spengler in 1984 blockbuster Ghostbusters and Russell Ziskey in 1981 comedy Stripes both opposite Bill Murray

His last  project was 2009′s Year One, which starred Jack Black and Michael Cera.
