Dwayne Johnson plays a helicopter pilot who journeys across the state of California to try and rescue his estranged daughter ("True Detective" star Alexandra Daddario), after an enormous earthquake hits.
Gugino is set to play Johnson’s ex-wife. She and Johnson teamed up on screen for the updated Race To Witch Mountain,
“The Conjuring” scribes Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes wrote the most recent script draft from which Brad Peyton has been pegged to direct. Former "Lost" co-showrunner Carlton Cuse, Andre Fabrizio, Jeremy Passmore and Allan Loeb penned previous script drafts
Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing the film.
Production on the project is slated to begin in April in Brisbane, Australia.
The film is scheduled for a June 5, 2015 bow
