Marvel Movies: Garfield Wants Spidey To Join "The Avengers"

The notion of a film that could bring together "The Avengers," with Sony Pictures "The Amazing Spider-Man and Fox's "X-Men" has been around for awhile....

Talking with Yahoo this week about The Amazing Spider-Man 2, star Andrew Garfield says: "I would love that. I know that the fans would love that, the fans of the Marvel universe… the more the merrier, the bigger the better."

Spidey director Marc Webb adds: "I would love that, as a fan, I think that would be great. I don't know how that would happen, but I certainly would be supportive of it."

Webb also suggested that a legitimate attempt was previously made to make a crossover happen, But: "There's efforts that were made [to make a crossover cameo happen] but obviously nothing came to fruition."
