"The Harlem Hellfighters" Finds A Home

Sony Pictures has picked up the film rights to "World War Z" author Max Brooks' upcoming graphic novel "The Harlem Hellfighters" says Heat Vision.


The comic is based on the true story of the 369th Infantry Divison an African-American Army unit fighting in Europe during World War I The unit spent more time in combat than any other American unit, never losing a foot of ground to the enemy, or a man to capture, and went on to win countless decorations. Even so, they returned to the U.S. and faced tremendous discrimination, even from their own government.

Brooks will pen the adapted script.

The comic hits stores on April 1st.
