Fox Adapting "The Collidescape Chronicles"

Heat Vision reports that "Ice Age" and "Rio" director Carlos Saldanha will helm "Timeless," a live-action and CG animated combination film adaptation of former Pixar Animation Studios artist turned author Armand Baltazar's upcoming children's book series The Collidescape Chronicles.

The story is set in Chicago when a time implosion brings people and creatures from the past, present and future together. A boy sets out with his friends from different time periods to rescue his father who has been captured by a Roman general.

Ridley Scott Michael Schaefer Steve Tzirlin and Brooklyn Weaver are producing the film.
