Various Folks Talk The Avengers: Age of Ultron

Marvel suit Kevin Feige has confirmed reports that by the end of Joss Whedon's superhero team up sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" the team of 'Avengers' that we started out with will not be the same team that we have at the end the film.

Speaking with Buzzfeed from the set of "Ultron," Feige essentially confirms that the third "Avengers" film will feature a whole new team of heroes:

"The Avengers films, ideally, in the grand plan are always big, giant linchpins. It's like as it was in publishing, when each of the characters would go on their own adventures and then occasionally team up for a big, twelve-issue mega-event. Then they would go back into their own comics, and be changed from whatever that event was. I envision the same thing occurring after this movie, because the [Avengers] roster is altered by the finale of this film."

The events will dovetail into Captain America 3 which will likely be an adaptation of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War storyline that sees Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr,) at odds with Captain America (Chris Evans) over the Superhero Registration Act - a law that forces anyone with superhuman abilities to their identities to the U.S. government and agree to act as a police force for the authorities. Stark supports reveal the program, Rogers does not because it threatens civil liberties. As a result Rogers and various others go on the run to avoid arrest. The life of Cap's girlfriend, Agent 13  (Revenge star Emily VanCamp), is torn apart as her superiors use her divided loyalties against her. Elsewhere, a new villain emerges; the Red Skull begins to make himself known; and The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) .again comes face-to-face with Cap....
.
Evans talked about his character and where he stands after the events chronicled in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and where he starts off in 'Ultron':

"He's still looking for a home, probably a metaphorical home. He's always felt comfortable as a soldier. And he likes structure. He works well taking orders. But when that dynamic turned on him, he's now left to depend upon his team, the Avengers. There really is no one above them telling them what to do. They're kind of having to operate independently. So there's a lot of leaning on one another, but there really isn't a kind of clear chain of command. And I think Cap looks for that. I think he's looking to understand where he belongs, not just as a soldier, as Captain America, but as Steve Rogers, as a person."

Meanwhile actor Chris Hemsworth says the main goal with Thor in 'Ultron' is just to get him to "lighten up a bit":

"Whereas the first [Avengers film] was [about] the journey of the team, I think, this time, you have six or seven things going on, which I was really impressed by. I like where Thor has been taken in this. He sort of sees a whole other side to what’s going on in the conflict, and another potential threat. And he kind of segues a bit and has his own little sort of journey. It gave us room to kind of make him a little more grounded and human and have him in some civilian clothes and mixing it up at a party. I want to do those scenes more. It’s what I loved about the first [Thor film]. There was an innocence and naivete to him, which as he matured into the king of the second [Thor: The Dark World] - or the rightful king - we sort of lost a little bit of that. That was that story."

Finally James Spader recently talked a bit about voicing the Ultron of in the film with Total Film.

The actor points out that his character is quite different to the role of Raymond 'Red' Reddington which he currently plays on the NBC show called The Blacklist:

"Ultron takes abrupt turns in scenes. Red isn't pyschopathic but Ultron is. Yes, he is psychopathic. He's really batsh-t crazy."

The biggest thing that drew him to the role--the dark humor:

"There's a humorous aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss. In many ways he's a child, this character, because he's a brand new being who's just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he's a very powerful, smart child."

Post-production  on the 'Avengers 2' continues to meet a release date of May 1, 2015.
