Channing Tatum is set to make his directorial debut on a film
adaptation of author Matthew Quick's novel "Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock" says THR.
The story centers on a troubled teenager who plans on killing his
best friend and then himself. Tatum may star as the teacher who
intervenes in the boy's plan.
The Magic Mike and Foxcatcher star will co-direct and produce the pic with longtime collaborator Reid Carolin.
A writer is currently being sought to pen the adapted script--an earlier draft of the screenplay by James Ponsoldt ("The Spectacular Now") is not being used.
Peter Kiernan is also producing the film..
