"Ghostgirl" Getting Her Own Film

MARV Films has nabbed the film rights to author Tonya Hurley's young adult novel "Ghostgirl" says ScreenDaily.

The ghostgirl series was launched in 2008 and tells the story of a girl desperate to be popular even after she has died by choking on a Gummi Bear

Vaughn and Valerie Van Galder, who previously worked together on "Snatch" and "Kick-Ass," will produce the film.

The team is planning to produce this  as a potential franchise launcher.
