Ryan Gosling: Sony's Golden Boy

After turning down lead roles in both David Ayer's film version of DC Entertainment's "Suicide Squad" comic book and Marvel's long gestating Doctor Strange movie it seems that Ryan Gosling may be a part of not one but two major film franchises at Sony Pictures according to The Daily Beast.

The site has an apparent email exchange between Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal and Gosling's manager that indicates Gosling wants to be involved in the Ghostbusters reboot. "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat" helmer Paul Feig is directing that movie which will use an all-female team--Pascal says the film has one major male role.

This could be the long awaited (by me anyway) reunion with his "Crazy, Stupid, Love" and "Gangster Squad" co-star Emma Stone whom Feig wants for the film.

The e-mails also indicate that Pascal wanted Gosling for both "Spider-Man" film series spin off "The Sinister Six" and the authorized biopic about late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs  before the film jumped from Sony to Universal Pictures--"wanted to talk to him about Sinister and Jobs. You tell me what he [sic] is interested in."
