The Rainbow Connection

The site Marketwire is reporting that a biopic is being planned that centers around the life and times of Muppets creator the late Jim Henson (pictured with pal Kermit the Frog) who died in 1990 of bacterial pneumonia.

The script by Robert D. Slane will take viewers from the beloved puppeteer's early fascination with television as a teenager, through his spectacular career and achievements

The company behind the project anticipates landing a major director, such as Penny Marshall , hoping to attract big name stars cast for the key roles.

Production is slated to begin late this Summer with a $30 million budget.

As a huge fan of "The Muppet Show" and The Muppet Movie(s)-The man who stated it all certainly made my childhood a happier one. I'm thrilled at this news! Casting is key--but I can't wait!
