You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry

We are now mere hours away from the debut of the first trailer for "The Incredible Hulk",and it seems that there's a battle brewing over the superhero flick.

The gossiper Deadline Hollywood Daily claims that the film's writer and lead Edward Norton (pictured) is in a heated dispute with the folks at Marvel over the editing and final cut of the film.
Norton, director Louis Leterrier, Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige have been talking this week trying to resolve the issue.

When Norton signed on to do the movie, one of the conditions was that he was "promised tremendous involvement and access" which included him personally rewriting Zak Penn's final draft of the screenplay.

With a month to go before the final cut of the film is 'locked', and "a lot of posturing going on between Edward's camp and Marvel over how you edit the final version."

Sounds like deja vu all over again--Norton has had similar behind-the-scenes tussles on his films before...Think "American History X " and "The Italian Job".

If the fight gets very public--it could very well affect public perception and doom the film and the franchise.

Whatever the outcome of the situation, one way or another, a resolution will occur quickly-It's just a mater of how much blood will be spilled in the process.

For Norton's part he's not letting the squabble slow him down as he gets ready to shop around a Barack Obama documentary...
