Crystal Clear

The Hollywood Reporter says that the Friday the 13th remake has found its lead damsel in distress--just days ahead of its April 21st production start. As well as a couple of more victims for killer Jason Voorhees to stalk.

Danielle Panabaker (pictured) has been cast as the female lead in Marcus Nispel's remake of the 1980 horror classic. She'll play the girlfriend of also just cast Travis Van Winkle (also pictured).

Panabaker's biggest claim to fame thus far is the family flick Sky High-which is a very entertaining take on the superhero genre

Jonathan Sadowski and Aaron Yoo round out the counselors of Camp Crystal Lake.

I have my fingers crossed that Nispel will do for Friday what he did for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 2003...
