Going Public

Fresh off his time as Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen, Billy Crudup (pictured) is going to play famed FBI director J. Edgar Hoover in Michael Mann's epic crime drama "Public Enemies" reports Variety.

Production is underway as Crudup jumps in to fray

Hoover held the post as the director of the FBI for nearly five decades right up until his death in 1972.

This is great get for Crudup as his career enters the stratosphere thanks to Watchmen. I expect great things from his performance...

Stephen Lang has joined the cast as well playing Special Agent Charles Winstead.
