Brian De Palma has signed on to direct a film adaptation of the book "The Boston Stranglers"according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Susan Kelly's nonfiction book deals with the notirious Boston Strangler crime spree in the early-'60s and its controversial resolution.
To this day many question whether Albert DeSalvo known for being a publicity hound, admitted to the killing and was later stabbed to death while in prison on unrelated charges -- was the actual killer.
I'm sure De Palma will do a solid job on this--with its subject matter something right up his alley. It's too bad that Redacted and its ensuing controversy left me with such mixed feelings about an otherwise talented helmer...
