Warren Ellis' three-issue comic book tale called "Red" is headed to the big screen according to The Hollywood Reporter.

First published in 2003-the story follows a former black-ops CIA team leader now retired.

When a high-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him--he's on the run. And soon must reassemble his old team in order to figure out who is out to get them..

Brothers Jon and Erich Hoeber are adapting the script



Never read this particular series but Ellis is certainly a talented guy and I like the cinematic potential of the premise...
