E For Efron

A 1st look courtesy of EW:

In the drama Me and Orson Welles, debuting Sept. 5 at the The Toronto Film Fest, High School Musical hero Zac Efron may have retired his Wildcats jersey, but not his penchant for puppy love.

''He's falling for this older woman,'' says director Richard Linklater. ''She's taking him for a bit of a ride.''

The object of Efron's affection? Claire Danes: She's a perky production assistant and Efron's an up-and-coming actor working on Welles' famed 1937 staging of Julius Caesar.

Let's face it...Danes can act--Linklater can direct....All eyes will be on Efron as he tries to prove he can act-and thus have a career outside the halls of HSM. Chemistry between he and Danes for the '09 flick--Based upon the book of the same name--is also key....
