Don Cheadle is set to replace Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2 according to The Hollywood Reporter.Howard played Colonel James 'Rhodey' Rhodes, Tony Stark's best friend in the first flick.
Negotiations with Howard are said to have fallen through over financial differences.
Marvel decided to take the role in another direction and approached Cheadle. Rhodes is expected to become War Machine at some point as the franchise moves along.
Jon Favreau is back calling the shots as director and Robert Downey Jr.. is set for Tony Stark. Gwyneth Paltrow is also expected to be back as Pepper.
I like Howard a lot and am sorry to see him go under these circumstances...But Cheadle is the perfect replacement...
